SPD Officer injured in collision with distracted driver.

2:15 p.m. - A Spokane Police Officer was injured this morning after his vehicle was struck from behind by a driver distracted with their cell phone.

10:04 a.m. - The Spokane Police Department would like to remind everyone that tonight the streets will be full of kids out trick or treating.

SPD seeks public help in downtown shooting investigation.

4:54 p.m. - SPD Major Crimes Unit is asking for the public’s help in the investigation of a Shooting that took place downtown over the weekend.

SPD to release body cam footage from 5th and Custer incident.

4:40 p.m. - The Spokane Police Department will be releasing the body worn camera video of an arrest that took place February 12th 2019, at 5th and Custer.

SPD responds to shooting in the 1900 block of W First.

4:33 p.m. - On 10-30-19 at 11:24 AM the Spokane Police Department responded to a home on West First Avenue where a woman reported she had been shot.

Back To Back Downtown Shootings

9:57 a.m. - Saturday night SPD responded to two back to back shootings in downtown Spokane.

Missing Adult Betty Brusseau

9:54 a.m. - Spokane Police requesting media and public assistance locating missing endangered female.

Citizens Assist with Arrest of Repeat Offender

9:52 a.m. - Help from citizens lead SPD officers investigating a vehicle prowling and theft to recover a necklace containing the ashes of the victim’s uncle.

Officer Placed On Administrative Leave

3:04 p.m. - SPD has notified the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office and asked them to investigate the incident.

Officer Involved Shooting

5:45 p.m. - Spokane Police Department (SPD) is involved in an Officer Involved Shooting in the area of 3400 East Garnett Avenue.

Northtown Auto Vehicle Thefts

3:46 p.m. - Spokane Police arrest convicted felon for 3rd vehicle theft from a local dealership.

Arrest Made In Overnight Shooting

11:46 a.m. - SPD responds to shooting in northeast Spokane. The victim provided suspect info which led to locating the suspect near Market St. and Hawthorne Rd.

$25,000 worth of Property Recovered By SPD

2:16 p.m. - The Targeted Crimes Unit recovers over $25,000 worth of stolen property from a one car garage taken in multiple burglaries from around the county.

Spokane Police Arrest Drug Dealer for Weapons Violation

2:15 p.m. - Spokane Police patrol officers, SPD Patrol Anti-Crime Team and narcotics detectives arrest long suspected drug dealer.

Injury Crash

2:14 p.m. - SPD responded to a three vehicle crash in north Spokane. The driver that caused the collision was arrested for two counts of vehicular assault.

Man Arrested After Taking Selfies In Front Of the Jail While Wanted

10:51 a.m. - Spokane Patrol Anti-Crime Team arrest inmate who escaped work release and taunted SPD for months on social media.

4:36 p.m. - Spokane Police investigating fatality vehicle vs motorcycle crash on N Indian Trail Rd.

4:25 p.m. - Notification of Release - Male with Sexually Violent Predator Status

4:20 p.m. - A Level 3 Sex Offender is now residing here in Spokane at the Lincoln House in the 1200 block of N. Lincoln after being released from McNeill Island.

SRATTF Serves a Warrant for an Illegal Wrecking Yard

11:47 a.m. - SRATTF serves a warrant for an illegal wrecking yard in the 700 block of Altamont, recovering a stolen motorcycle, stolen car parts and five firearms.

Vehicle Thief Sentenced To 18 Months

2:41 p.m. - Man who was arrested by the Spokane Patrol Anti-Crime Team tied to over $300,000 in vehicle thefts and suspected of many more sentenced to 18 months.

8:26 a.m. - The Spokane Police Department Special Victims Unit is seeking your help in locating a missing female.

SPD Updates Their Use of Force Policy

8:25 a.m. - The Spokane Police Department has released its updated and adopted Use of Force Policy which includes the De-escalation section.

Fatality Hit and Run

8:23 a.m. - Spokane Police Officers responded to a Fatality Hit and Run in the late hours of Wednesday, Oct. 9.

4:18 p.m. - Officers respond to a serious collision with life threatening injuries at Wall and Central. Please stay out of the area.

Possible Endangered Juvenile

2:51 p.m. - On Tuesday, Oct. 8, the family of 17 year old Sara McNease reported her missing.

DUI Enforcement Team

2:23 p.m. - The Spokane Police DUI Enforcement Team has completed its 2nd full year since getting started. Here are some stats and some quick reminders.

SPD SWAT arrests one after standoff in downtown Spokane

6:11 a.m. - Standoff in downtown Spokane ends in adult male being taken into custody for unlawful possession of a firearm

Single Vehicle Fatality Crash Closes Ferry Ave. For Several Hours

7:48 p.m. - Ferry was closed from Altamont-Haven as investigators processed the scene of a fatal crash. A motorcyclist was w/b on Ferry when he struck a pole.

Standoff with Armed Suspect Ends with SWAT Entry into Business

12:36 a.m. - Standoff w/an armed man ends when SWAT enters a store he was refusing to leave. Booher led a WSP Trooper on a pursuit after pointing a gun at him.
