Aug. 29

Most park restrooms to close September 3

11:01 a.m. - Restrooms in most City of Spokane parks will close for the season on Tuesday, September 3, the day after Labor Day.

Aug. 28

Field renovations underway at Franklin Park

12:49 p.m. - Work is underway at the Franklin Park Softball Complex that will result in major improvements to the fields themselves.

Pig Out in the Park opens today

10:35 a.m. - Pig Out in the Park, the annual food and music extravaganza in Spokane’s Riverfront Park over Labor Day weekend, opens today.

Final Doggie Dip tonight, 5-8 pm

Tomorrow is final swim day for 2013 season

10:09 a.m. - To close out the season, the Spokane Central Lions Club is sponsoring a FREE swim day from 1 - 4 p.m. at A.M. Cannon Aquatic Center.

It's Pow Wow Weekend in Spokane

3:35 p.m. - The Spokane Falls Northwest Indian Encampment & Pow Wow bring to life significant cultural celebration on August 23rd and 24th in Riverfront Park.

SpokAnimal Dog Park fundraiser

9:44 a.m. - The pools have gone to the dogs, a fundraiser for the SpokAnimal Dog Park at High Bridge.
