City Fire Station to host trick-or-treaters

3:46 p.m. - The Spokane Fire Department is celebrating Halloween by opening 11 fire stations for trick-or-treaters tonight between 5:00 pm and 9:00 pm.

Fire damages three North Side garages

8:50 a.m. - The Spokane Fire Department is investigating a North Side fire early today that destroyed one garage and damaged two others nearby.

Burn restrictions lifted

1:58 p.m. - Burn restrictions implemented on July 17 were lifted today. Outdoor recreational fires, including campfires, are allowed throughout Spokane County

SFD, Red Cross to conduct smoke detector canvass

4:24 p.m. - SFD is partnering with the American Red Cross and Gonzaga University to canvass the Logan neighborhood to ensure homes have working smoke detectors
