Answer the call to serve the Spokane community. Become a Spokane Police Officer.

Open Requirements (must be met at time of application):

  • 45 quarter or 30 semester credit hours of college course work, which includes at least 5 quarter or 3 semester credit hours of college English.
  • Minimum GPA of C or 2.0
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Candidates must be 20 years of age at the time of application and 21 years of age at the time of appointment.
  • Must be within the normal weight range for height.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or a lawful permanent resident.
  • All successful candidates who have been offered a position will be required to pass a post offer physical and psychological examination prior to appointment.

  1. Take and Pass the Public Safety Written Exam. Be sure to have your score sent to Spokane Police Department

Spokane Police Department Physical Ability Test Requirements

All candidates must pass the physical tests listed on the CJTC website.

The PAT will be typically administered in the following order:

  1. 300 meter run
  2. Push-ups
  3. Sit-ups
  4. 1.5 mile run/walk
