Repeat felon arrested for possession of stolen motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance.
On April 10, 2020 around 11:00 pm a Spokane Police Officer spotted a gray Dodge Durango driving near N Madison Street and Maxwell Avenue matching the description of a vehicle that was reported stolen on April 8th. The SPD Officer ran the plate and confirmed it to be the stolen car.
The Officer initiated a traffic stop however the driver ignored visual and audio signals (lights and siren) alerting him to stop. Eventually, the driver of the stolen car did yield and pulled over.
The officer gave commands for the driver to exit the vehicle and as he stepped out, a small black container fell to the ground. The driver was detained and identified as Devron M. Parrish (32).
After a brief investigation Devron was placed under arrest for Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle. He was also charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance as the contents of the black container mentioned above tested positive for Heroin and Methamphetamine.
Along with the above listed charges he had an outstanding felony warrant from the department of corrections for an unrelated assault.
Devron has been a prolific offender in our community for some time, his criminal history includes, but is not limited to the felony arrests listed below which encompass drug related, non-violent and violent crimes.
