Recently the City of Spokane was selected by the Federal Department of Emergency Management for their Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response grant (SAFER). The $9 million grant will help the City hire 40-48 additional firefighters.
All firefighter applicants must pass a written test and the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT).
The next written firefighter test will be offered in Spokane on Saturday, October 29. Applicants can take the CPAT test on Sunday, October 30 at the Fire Training Center, 1618 N Rebecca, Spokane, WA. 99217.
In order to be considered for the first round of hiring applicants must take and pass the CPAT test by Monday, October 31.
