Flags at Half-Staff Honoring the Monterey Park Shooting Victims

Spokane Mayor Nadine Woodward has ordered flags at all City facilities to be lowered to half-staff to coincide with Governor Jay Inslee’s directive that state and U.S. flags at all state agency facilities be lowered immediately to honor victims of the tragedy in Monterey Park, California.

“Spokane sends its deepest sympathies and condolences to all those touched by the devastating and unacceptable tragedy in Monterey Park,” said Woodward. “We join the country in mourning those who have lost their lives in this senseless act of violence

Flags will remain lowered until sundown on Thursday, Jan. 26. Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.
